Cosycosy played at Fordfest,
Cambridgeshire, in August -
sharing a
bill with Hawkwind and Bad Manners. See Youytube clip
above.
Dave Cosy writes:
The Cosies recently went all
agricultual, agricultural, even, at the weather apocolypse known as the
Fordham festival. Seemingly the festival of Rain and Wind Gods. Yes, the
English tradition of moaning about the weather at a festival is continued.
But not for very long. We played in a large tent. The canvas was
waterproof. It may not have been waterproof. When we played it was dry.
Outside and in. There was no canvas waterproof test made during our set,
which we thoroughly enjoyed playing, including the new song that we
couldn't actually finish. As I write, Mick is still singing the chorus.
There is certainly some wailing coming from his house. Possibly the Rain
and Wind Gods have moved in. Possibly. There can be no further comment
about that. The festival was hugely enjoyable, with contrasting audiences.
For Hawkwind (and Cosy!) the yetis. For Bad Manners, the pork pie hat and
green harrington wearers. As for the Bluetones, well, there was only a few
of us left for the 'tones, which was a shame, as they played a good set
with some welcome noisy new songs. Rock on next year!
